About Heather
In high school – I was voted most likely to marry my computer because I was building websites and hanging out online in my free time – every night – every weekend, there was a cord running through the hallway into my room because I was on the internet.
Oddly enough, I went straight to beauty school instead of college or university to pursue a career in technology. After 10 years in the beauty industry, a handful of direct sales gigs, and a couple of failed business ventures – I decided to shift my focus to what I enjoyed most about being a small business owner:
Marketing my business online.
Before there were hashtags and Facebook ads, I was marketing my small business online. The biggest struggle for small businesses in the online space is technical overwhelm. Forever growing & changing & REALLY noisy. This is why I’ve made it my mission to simplify the process for my clients. Focus on whats working and blaze your own path to success. OH….did I mention I like to think BIG?
Why does this matter?
Because I want you to grow – I want you to WOW potential customers with your amazing brand….and just like I would never give you the same hairstyle as Suzy down the block….I’m not going to give you the same design, plan, feel, or whatever you might be looking for in your business.

A Star Was Born
Ok not quite…there was always part of me that knew I was supposed to do something awesome…it just didn’t [and still doesn’t] come naturally.

Computer Life
When I was super young – I had access to a computer. Kinda like now how we all think our children are SO SMART because they can use a tablet at 18 months old…I thought I was so cool because I was using a computer when I was 4 years old. I always feel like this is so important to mention because people always ask me how I got to where I am now. I got here because I started young!

High School Graduate
Thank you to everyone who voted me “Most Likely to Marry Her Computer”…you were right. As much as I didn’t really enjoy my high school years, they truly shaped who I am today. “Computers” was the general term but website design and connecting(because it wasn’t “social media” then) with an audience were my thing then – and still are today.

Cosmetology School Graduate
What the?! I just told you I spent most of my life behind a computer – then I decided to become a hairstylist? Truth.
I went on to spend almost 10 years as a hairstylist, nail technician, makeup artist and sales representative for numerous beauty brands. Can you tell I just couldn’t find my place in the industry?

Mom Life
I decided to spice up my life and add a husband and 2 daughters to the mix. I took a step back from figuring out where I wanted to be in my career to focus on raising little people and creating a home. This was [and still is…] the most confusing, yet rewarding time of my life.

Where I am now
In 2015 I decided to start rebuilding my skills in graphic and web design. I started learning about social media marketing strategy. I wanted to learn EVERYTHING there was to know about blogging, SEO, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Email Marketing and more. I read everything I could get my hands on and soon learned that the things I loved to do – fell under this career called “Virtual Assistant”. I soon became a fully booked VA. In the process – I learned that I LOVE creating websites and helping people share their message, products and services online.
